Supplier classification
Suppliers are classified into two categories:
Direct Suppliers supply materials that are included in the final product that is delivered to the client.
Indirect Suppliers provide materials and services necessary for the operation of the plant but that are not included in the final product. They are classified into 6 categories:
- Construction and Facilities
- Corporate Services
- Information Technology
- Manufacturing and Chemicals
- Engineering Services
- Supply Chain
Basic requirements
At Atmus, one of our top priorities is to partner with highly competitive suppliers who not only meet their legal obligations but also align with the principles and values that define our company. It is critical that suppliers meet the below fundamental requirements:
- Compliance with legal, labor, environmental and fiscal obligations in accordance with current legislation
- Competitive cost
- 90 day payment terms
- Security in processes and supply chain
- Registration with Ariba Supplier Network
- Compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct.
Beyond these fundamental requirements, the Indirect Purchasing team may request additional information to complete supplier registration.
